UOL Men's 1st draw 1-1 vs Edge Hill Away
26/01/2021, Edge Hill University Sports Centre: UOLFC were back in action today after a well-earned Christmas break. The boys took on Edge Hill for the second time this season. After having won 4-1 in the first fixture, UOLFC were hoping to repeat this performance today, but it wasn’t to be in the end and UOLFC had to settle for a 1-1 draw. First half: Like the first game, Edge Hill was very aggressive throughout the whole game. As shown by a terrible challenge on Theo Hayford in the 3 rd minute which should’ve been a red, but the referee decided to go with a yellow card. ⚽ This excess aggressivity paid off for edge hill just a minute after when they committed four men to their frontline to challenge the Liverpool defenders. Edge Hill kept pressing and played a long ball into one of their strikers and subsequently scored in the 4 th minute. 1-0 to Edge Hill.
